meandher 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2014 Every monday here in Hammonds Place we have a road sweeper do a lap of the estate,and this service is very welcolme.This got me thinking,why is it we can have a sweeper every week but we can not get a gritter when it snows?.perhaps someone on here will have some thoughts or even the answer. SJC 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2014 Every Thursday here in Weston Rhyn, regular as clockwork, has done for years, yes very welcome, but why don't they do the bits the machine can't reach? A section outside my house needs a man with a brush, and guess who that has to be? But a Gritter only ever arrives after several days of compacted snow and ice if at all.
