For tickets call 07761 248125 This was first performed in December but after many requests is being performed for a second time. It was fab first time round, so should be even better second time!! Come along and support your local youth drama group!

    Do you have or do you know anyone who has twins (or more!) who are under 5 years old, and live in Oswestry or any of the surrounding villages? There is a Twins and More Group which runs in the Sure Start Children's Centre based at Woodside Primary School, Oswestry on Friday Mornings 10-12. The group is FREE and is a chance to meet up with other families with twins or multiples for fun activities and time to play and share experiences. The group has been very quiet recently and so is looking for new families to attend!! If you would like more information please ring 01691 656513.

    My daughter had a fab time on Wednesday, thank you. She's looking forward to Archery on Tuesday (and bringing a friend :) !!).

    My husband was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in November 2011 after becoming really quite ill before being diagnosed (ignorance on our part rather than any other reason). He was taking insulin injections 4 times a day once he was diagnosed. Following a change in diet and regular excersie he was told by his consultant in January this year that he is now considered type 2 and was able to switch from injections to tablets. This week it was confirmed by his diabetes nurse that he can stop taking the tablets and for the last 2 weeks has been controlling his diabetes with diet and exercise alone. He himself says that it is years since he has felt as fit and healthy as he does now, and it is very unlikely that he would have made these changes without the onset of diabetes. Just as you have experienced Penny, he too has had excellent care & support from the NHS services locally.

    Gobowen Primary School are holding a Community Lunch on Thursday 20 December 2012 from 12pm until 1pm. This will be an opportunity for members of the community to join staff and pupils for a roast dinner and pudding. The meal will cost £3.00 for adults and £2.00 for children (including pre-school children). Cartons of drink will be on sale for 40p and water will also be available. Lunches will need to be ordered and paid for by Monday 10 December. Unfortunatly, if you are unable to come to the lunch your money will not be refunded by the school kitchen due to the cost of purchasing the food. On arrival at school you will be issued with a ticket which you will need to hand in to the catering staff serving lunch in the dining room. Please let the community know about the lunch. If it is popular we may consider making it a regular event. Please telephone Mrs Jones in the school office on (01691) 661343 to book a lunch and arrange for payment to be made. We hope that you will be able to join us.
