Green Room Youth Project AGM.

Mon 25 Feb 2013 7.15pm at The Pavilion Gobowen

The Green Room Youth Project are inviting all to attend our first AGM.We are keen to extend the membership of our steering group and would be pleased if you could attend this meeting.

Young people are being invited to form a youth committee at the Green Room Youth Project to help create a vision for their weekly youth group.Every body involved with this project have all pulled together and worked with the young people to make this youth group a success. At the beginning we were doubting that the members would support the winter sessions but thanks to our volunteer Carol Pugh being a popular community leader her family and friends all, encourage the youngsters to take part.Sessions attract between 16 to 20 attendees and they all help to create activities and shape the group. Our AGM will focus on voting 2 senior young people to the committee and task them with setting up a youth forum for the group. We nominated 6 young people to support Shropshire Council Buzz project this year and they have helped to shape youth provision for the future. We have some exciting plans for this year and hope that other people in the community come forward to help us.

The Green Room has been supported with grant funding from Awards For All, Silo Fund, Shropshire Council, Gobowen Area LJC and Selattyn & Gobowen Parish Council. Session Leader Julie Ruler said " It is a pleasure to help this group as they understand the true meaning of partnership working and let young people get involved. It has not been easy but the young people self manage and do not let their peers spoil activities. They come along with the intention to have fun and look after each other and that is what it is all about"

To get involved please email greenroomgobowen@live.co.uk

I look forward to seeing you.
