Area37 Coffee 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2019 So I’m a bit of an amateur coffee geek and have collated quite a few items that have become ‘coffee corner’ in my kitchen. It looks somewhat like a science lab with glass flasks, scales and measuring devices; but is coffee making a science or an art? and should we all be able to make quality coffee in our own homes? Coffee making should really be a simple science, essentially brewing coffee is the combination of water, time and of course ground coffee; the perfect coffee therefore is the control of these variables, the grind size, how much water is used (coffee to water ratio) and the amount of time the water is in contact with the coffee; sounds simple right? or is this where it becomes an art? Hopefully by reading my blog, equipment reviews and brew guides I can help you all drink quality coffee at home. www.area37.co.uk
