suenick 7 Report post Posted October 16, 2014 Happy Birthday to the St Martins Methodist Chapel building (Ellesmere Road) – 100 years old this year! An old red brick chapel was demolished and the existing one built in 1914. The foundation stone was laid on Easter Sunday with the official opening on December 17th. We are celebrating the centenary of our building on Sunday October 26th with a service at 11.00 followed by lunch in the School Room. Please come along to join our celebration, especially if you have fond memories of a wedding or baptism in the building. We hope to create a ‘Memory Board’ so look out any old photos or just write down your memories. For more details or to donate towards the Bring & Share Lunch: e-mail Nick Heard on heard@btinternet.com or call Enid Prichard on 01691690289. Looking forward to seeing you all.
