leebarnfield 30 Report post Posted June 17, 2014 Free Samsung TV for anyone who wants to collect it from 'Richie's' wood. Slight damage to screen when some idiot threw it over the wall. Surely the effort it took for some idiot to drive to the wood and launch it over the bridge to smash on the ground spreading glass and its innards across a path is the same effort it would take to drive it to an offical collection point like the one in Mile Oak Industrial Estate. What happens to this now? Who would be responsible for removing and clearing up the mess?
Herbie 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2014 Unfortunately when idiots dump waste on privately owned land it is up the the landowner to clear the mess. The owner can take legal action against the idiot if they can find any documentation? Sad that people do things like that with so many responsible ways of disposal available. leebarnfield 30 Report post Posted June 30, 2014 Right then folks.... who wants to come and help me clear up the TV and the glass and dispose of it properly?
Simple Simon 36 Report post Posted July 1, 2014 I'm happy to lend a hand, but my vehicle is limited in so far as the amount of ex-television it can carry. And I've no idea where Richie's Wood is.
leebarnfield 30 Report post Posted July 1, 2014 Simple Simon It's OK I have a van :) I can get the TV etc in there and then take it to the recycling place in Maesbury Road. Assuming its still there.... shall we say Thursday around 5.30pm?
