All Saints Church Christmas Tree Festival

Its that time of year again to hang up the mistletoe and decorate your Christmas tree!. All Saints Church in Gobowen is holding their 2nd Christmas Tree Festival following the success of the 1st Festival in 2011!. For those who don't know what the Christmas tree festival is about then it is simple. 1,Find a Christmas tree 2, Choose a charity to raise some money for! 3, Decorate the tree HOWEVER you like!!.and when the time comes bring it along to All Saints Church to show your tree off with the other trees that people have decorated!!!!

If you would be interested in taking part please either respond to this post or message me for contact details of the organiser!

Anyone can take part individual or business!!

I personally will be doing a tree of remembrance for the Royal British Legion

The Festival is held on the weekend of the 15th - 16th December. Opening times - 10 am till 4pm on the Saturday and 1 pm till 4 pm on the Sunday. Everyone is welcome!!!!

Well, preparations are underway and the first few trees are up and decorated! Only 4 days left until the Christmas Tree festival is opened by Owen Paterson!. Bacon Butties will be served from 10 am on the Saturday for just £1!!. Come along for a bite to eat and a walk around the church!

Post Tree Festival Update

 

Everything went to plan (surprisingly), the Festival was opened by Owen Patterson and his wife in a packed church. Overall there were 40 trees for people to come and see. the church over the 2 days was very busy with at least 300 people visiting. The weekend end with a carol service on Sunday evening (the church was full) and a school church service Monday morning.

 

Thanks to all who came and made it a success!
