  1. Allan, I'm curious when you say 'I am actually waiting for a form to be sent from the council.' Presumably it's in electronic form and could be posted here, or emailed to you and you could post it here? Clearly a few people might want to make use of it.
  2. Please let us have your views on Community Online, by completing a short, anonymous questionnaire - it should only take a few minutes. This is an independent survey but your views will be fed back to Community Online site admin, and will be helpful in developing the site. They will also be useful in offering advice to people in other areas around the country who want to run their own websites. PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK to go to the questionnaire. You do not need to give your name or any personal details - just let us have your views. The survey will be open for three weeks until 24 August 2012. The survey is being run by Networked Neighbourhoods, an independent community development organisation who helped Community Online to get started last year.
  3. Geoff, did you get anywhere with this? If not, and anyway for the value of the archive on this site, here's a link to the county's page on noise nuisance, and one specifically on noise from barking dogs.
  4. congrats to Lee and anyone else involved in securing this well-earned recognition - is it a grant to be used for a specific project?
  5. Forum members might be interested in an 'odyssey around the country,' by activist and writer John Popham, 'highlighting the problems of rural communities which suffer from poor, or non-existent, broadband connectivity.' Here - http://is.gd/GEqnQk - he writes of 'farmers digging up their own fields to lay fibre cables.' John is part of a Big Lottery funded programme exploring how people can best share stories about community-led action through events and networking, using a mix of media. If you have views on this issue, why not drop him a note? - john.popham@johnpopham.com
  6. 'grats to Lee and the others involved in setting up this forum - hope it makes a huge difference to local people!
