  1. Thanks Lee and Greta for your helpful information. On my recent visit to Weston Rhyn we found more relatives in St John graveyard and after speaking to several people and going off the information Lee gave me and Greta I found ,what I think was Weston Cottage. It is called Plas Cerrig and is at present on the market Could Greta get in touch as I have been looking at her family history Greens/Ducketts Thanks again guys. Will keep you updated

    Fron Isaf

More up to date pictures from fron Isaf
  4. This is where a lot of our family members are interred. We visited on Thursday 9.7.2015 and after a walk through the churchyard to find some of the graves we spent a pleasant hour having coffee and a lovely conversation with the gentleman who runs the café and his wife and mother in law who were really helpful with any information they could help with
  5. This is a picture of Fron Isaf farm approximately late 1890's. The people are ancestors of my partner Stephen Davies. The Davies moved onto the farm approx. 1860 and there were Davies there until at least 1830. Hugh Davies born 1869 and his sister Maggie featured in the picture then lived at Weston Cottage, Wern Western Rhyn until Hugh death in 1956. I don't know if it passed to any of the other Davies after that and Weston Cottage changed its Name to a Welsh name. It is near to where the old Weston paper mill stood and also near Oak cottage. Not sure but I think it may be Plas Cerrig. If anyone has any information on this please let me know Chris

  7. Hi I have been doing my family tree in the past and just getting back on to it after a number of years. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Weston Cottage and where exactly it is. I was told that its name has been changed to a Welsh name now but don't know what it is. Hugh Davies lived there up until 1956 and his sister, Maggie Davies a little longer. Don't know if it passed to any other family members Any info appreciated Regards Chris
