  1. Selattyn Village is holding a Fun Day on Sat July 28th from 10am-3pm at Selattyn School playground and fields. The theme is the Seaside and so there will be sand play, icecreams, BBQ & volley ball. There will also be family games like three legged races & egg and spoon race, tug of war, football and skittles along with craft work making hats and bunting. Live music will be played and people are invited to bring and share their picnics. There will be a small charge of £1 per adult and 50p per child. This is being organised by the people who organised the Holiday Club for St Mary's Church.
  2. Dear All, Yes - the Selattyn Walking Festival will run on Sat &Sun May 12th and13th with 2 walks each day starting at 10am &2pm from the Cross Keys. Lunch canbe provided if people complete the registration form poster on this site. There is also a folk evening at 7.30pm at the Cross Keys for those interested. The walks are about 4 miles each lead by local people with first aiders and coverage by Raynet - the emergency radio group. Dogs on short lead welcome and children too accompanied by parents. The Festival is supported financially by Selattyn and Gobowen Parish Council, Local Joint Committee 1 ( for this area) and Shropshire Sustainable Transport.

Dear All, Many thanks for these suggestions have taken them on board and it is most likely that we will add some shelves and use it initially for a book box for people to borrow and exchange books. Also for plants in the spring or spare seedlings etc. What do you think? Anyone able to fit shelves in it as the phone has now been taken out? Thanks again, Yours, Mark
  4. British Telecom are removing the phone because of so few calls being made there. What ideas do you have to use the box for? Eg notice board, small sharing of books etc.
