Its a good idea. Me and a few other mums at school have recently chatted about relaxed get togethers and handicrafts but not sure we are very organised and alot of us also have preschool age children which complicates things. Hope u get more interest.

The Friends is a group of parents and carers, staff, friends and local residents who come together to support Weston Rhyn Primary School by organising social events and fundraising activities email westonrhynfriends@hotmail.co.uk The funds raised enables the school to purchase additional equipment and carry out activities that the school is not able to fund from the school budget. We are all volunteers who give our spare time and commitment and are committed to organising events which are fun, which improve community relations, provide sociable entertainment for children and adults alike whilst at the same time raising the much needed funds for the school. So far this term: - we have run two successful disco's, - held a non uniform day and NON Uniform on Fri 18th payment 50p for children in need and chocolate for the fayre - held an AGM at The Last Inn Hengoed in October - organised a 2012 SCHOOL CALENDAR (please email the friends if you would like to purchase a calendar) and now we are working hard towards the - CHRISTMAS FAYRE - Thurs 1st December 3pm - All welcome ! As a committee we need the support of every family in the school and wider community but appreciate that support can come in a variety of ways. please feel free to contact us via the email, even a little help can make a massive difference!
