  1. Maybe its better if the owners were painted....
  2. http://www.bordercountiesadvertizer.co.uk/news/149420/cash-boost-for-villages-youth-groups.aspx Just seen this article in the Oswestry Advertizer, sounds like great news for the villages. Anyone know of any plans or anyone got any ideas?
  3. As much as I do think Oswestry should be indeed connected to the rail line, I just can't see it being feasible without ten's of millions of pounds of investment. You simply can't have a train crossing the A5 near Gobowen and certainly not a steam engine. What would be much more feasible is a cycle/walkway. Which could connect Gobowen to Oswestry, you could also reroute cycle way 455 to take this path.
  4. I think I am the only one that quite likes the Mile End Roundabout :)
  5. Sounds interesting.......... is the secret that he's really a closet steam engine enthusiast?
  6. Happy Birthday! Are you really that old??
  7. Is this something Parish Clerk can look into?
  8. I have just read that the restaurant is hoping to open on the 20th January....
  9. I can make it 3..... I will see if I can get a few other people too.

  12. Are there some first names you can give us? My great grandad, grandad and Dad used to live at Mount View only just up the road.
  13. Let me know what you want to know and I will see what I can do. I can always have a browse around the village for you and take some pictures etc.
  14. Hi Julie, I am from Weston Rhyn and my family has lived in the area for a few years so hopefully can help out. Lee
  15. The project is actually a material that has PV fibres in weft and battery fibres in warp. It generates and stores its own power. In answer to your question you could have PV windows and greenhouses.
  16. Something I noticed in the plan was the response to the surveys and questionnaires. The September/October 2011 printed questionnaires - 3300 delivered, 421 responses. Approximately 13% return The March/June 2013 consultation papers - 900 delivery, 50 responses. Approximately 6% return Seems a bit poor seeing as its regarding a £1,000,000 spend in the local area, or is this a normal return rate for such things? A lot of effort goes into these surveys and questionnaires and for such a poor return. I always think its not a reflection of the community, its a response from the type of people who respond to questionnaires, but what can you do?
  17. I am working in a project using PV material. As the PV is using a specific wavelength of light it is possible to allow the rest of the wavelength through and it allows things to grow underneath. Not saying it's being used here but it's possible.
  18. Canon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Enter the macro world The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM is the first true Macro lens in the EF-S series. A dynamic, compact, fast-focusing lens, it provides dramatic detail that goes beyond the human eye. Approx. 96mm focal length (35mm format) Compact and lightweight High corner-to-corner resolution, contrast and image quality Fast auto focus with near-silent USM Full-time manual focus override Super Spectra coating This lens has only been used a couple of times and therefore is in as new condition. I don't have the box so the lens will come supplied with a Matin neoprene pouch as shown in the picture.
